Art DecoArt Deco is a decorative style named after the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Indusrtiels Modernes’ held in 1925 in Paris. Art Deco was a direct successor to the pre-1914 Art Nouveau movement but its characteristic shapes were simple geometric rather that organic ones. Even more than Art Nouveau, it emphasizes the use of luxurious materials such as bronze, ivory and ebony. |
