How to hang wall murals

We often get asked for giant artworks to cover a wall and one suitable option is to select a wall mural which is hung in the same way as wallpaper... but without that dated design!

Before you start

Your wallpaper mural will come in panels. We recommend that you lay out the panels on the floor in the proper order before you start. Since the placement of the first panel determines the overall look of the finished mural, take extra time and care to place it accurately.

Installing the panels

Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the order of panel installation. Do not wait too long between installation of each panel or the panel designs will not line up correctly. The mural begins to dry and contract once on the wall, so be prepared to proceed with each panel until the job is done before taking a break. It is common for each panel of a wet mural to be 1.25cm larger than a dry mural. Carefully remove excess paste from the front of the mural using a soft cloth. Too much rubbing or cleaning will remove the ink from the paper.

  1. Select piece number 1.
  2. Lay strip face down on a flat surface.
  3. Apply wallpaper paste and position to the wall.
  4. Repeat steps for pieces 2 to 12.

That's it, it's that easy!
