Jennifer Baird was born in West Wyalong, country NSW in 1968. She spent her early childhood in Papua New Guinea, and her primary to high school years in Wagga Wagga, a large regional center in country N.S.W.
Jennifer states that she always loved to draw and loved art at school. After completing a Bachelor of Design at the University of Technology Sydney, she became an artist almost by accident. After losing her first job as a textile designer, (after only a month) and with no intentions of becoming an artist, Jennifer began selling small pastel sketches at local markets.
The response was overwhelming and eight years later Jennifer is still painting and loving every minute of it.
