Susan Betts was born in 1969 in the tuna fishing town of Port Lincoln, South Australia. Her family ties are to the Kokata, Wirangu and Mirning groups from South Australia’s far western Nullarbor Plains. A leading contemporary indigenous artist, Susan Betts has designed the iconic painting of Qantas Boeing 747 jet ‘Nalanji Dreaming’ as well as ‘Sweet Water’ for Coca Cola, a 2 meter Coke bottle statue now in the Atlanta Museum. Her other works include art for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and in 2007 commemorative mirrors by Schefenacker for Ford Motor Company. Susan is accredited by (NACI) Tandanya, The National Aboriginal Cultural Institute.
